Only one city? In the entire world? [Like the Lunar Palace on the Moon? Maybe his world was in decline, too?]
It's quite brilliant, for something created by humans! Nothing like Lunarian technology, but it's a start, right? And I'm certain you'll be able to make even more advances in the future.
[Gently, she closes the lid on the device.] I do wonder, though, what is the purpose of providing the new arrivals with these devices? Why provide us with a means of communication if the natives so fear us? Would they not worry about us plotting against them, or something like that? [Not that Rosa herself puts any stock in such a notion.]

[He looks pretty unimpressed.]
That sounds stupid. [Voting on everything.. isn't it easier to just do whatever you want instead of listening to everyone's feelings on the matter.]

Exactly. It doesn't quite fit.
[A slight, thoughtful flick of one ear.] Right. I guess the question then would be why - was there any reason for it, or just to amuse themselves? Neither would come as much of a surprise.

[She raises an eyebrow, giving him the most skeptical look. What the hell is he talking about? There's only one world.]
What?
What?
[He rubs a clawed hand through his hair, his brand new bright neon gills frilling a little.] I'm pretty sure I'm a variation of 'Merpeople' since I've totally not seen anyone else who looks like a kaiju. Damn, it's weird to think of myself as a subspecies. [he laughs, pressing his palm into the side of his face, the elbow resting on the hand thats crossed over his chest.]
--Oh, I live with two teenagers. It was sort of a temporary thing, but I think I accidentally adopted them?

You have a - a...
[She gestures at the shadow.] You seem sad.
[She snorts regretfully.] I don't have such a thing. I am just a woman with wings, I am afraid. But you know this place is not so bad? It is only silly things like wings and that. I don't care if they give me wings. They are pretty, no?

Are you fucking with me here?
[Jade really, really, really hopes he is.]

[Aradia laughs at his fumbling.]
I've only ever seen my own planet and Earth, but I've only seen Earth through people's memories of it. Trolls my age stay on-planet until we grow into adulthood.
[As for the game... she wasn't sure how she was going to explain something as complex as SGRUB in short simple terms, but she'd try!]
It's a bit complicated, but basically it's a magic computer game that transports all the players that are in a game session together to another plane called the incipisphere. In the incipisphere there's a bunch of quests that you have to finish within a certain time limit in order to create your new universe, or else everyone is destroyed by meteors. Every player of the game gets to have their own special set of powers to help them, as well as their own personalized planet full of individualized quests and adventures to complete in order to facilitate your growth and prepare you for the end-game battles to claim your universe. It's really really hard and most people aren't able to complete their session in time.

It sounds... lonely. I mean, certainly there are other people living in that city, but to know that you are the last remnants of the human race...
[It really is like the Lunarians, isn't it? And Rosa is equally flabbergasted that there is a world with only a single bastion of civilization.]
Sorry... The Lunarians are an advanced race of people which live on my world's Moon. They gifted humanity with advances in medicine, technology, and magic. But... they are a race in decline. I've visited what remains of their civilization. And I couldn't help but draw comparisons with your home...
[She picks up the device and holds it against her breast. She smiles, a little shyly, perhaps. She's making assumptions again, but hopefully they aren't all completely off-base.]
It doesn't strike me as a disease, really. To be perfectly honest, it feels as though we are being transformed into lesser Eidolons, to become the war-beasts of these squabbling deities and forced to fight in their petty war...

True... It seems likely that they were involved in Rota. Those tanks exploding could have just been luck, but... it seems likely there was something else going on there.
[Pit? Well, that sounds familiar.]
Like that pit I woke up in?
[He thinks for a moment (it's hard) and then grunts. It's a slightly more amused-sounding grunt than his usual grunts. Maybe.]
Someone got lucky if they captured Nisha. Or really, really unlucky.

[Her lips thin irritably at that, and if she didn't think she'd be tempted to strangle herself, she'd mock him with a curtsy just out of spite! Nynaeve can't shame herself though, not in front of a man who has already frightened her once.
He does it again in an instant, talking so casually about devouring souls. Her fist clenches her braid tight, and Nynaeve wishes she was brave enough to slap him until his fool head falls off!] That... [She breathes unsteadily, trying to keep calm even though her insides are writhing.] ...is impossible.
[Her voice spikes, growing louder and louder with each word.] You are a monster. Light! How can you say something like that so casually?!
